Children’s Parties

“Thanks a lot for the birthday party magic show. The kids loved it and were really engaged.” Steph

Steve, AKA Mr Magic Hat, is an experienced magician and entertainer. He does a fun filled magic show, especially suited to the age of children (age 3+). There are visual, colourful magic tricks, with stories and plenty of interaction. The birthday child becomes a mini-magician as they help with a trick. Tricky Micky the puppet joins the show for younger ones. Older children age 8+ are treated as mini-adults. The show is geared to their age, plus they are taught how to do a trick. Or the show can be for tailored for all ages. The shows are for 45 minutes, except when the majority of children are aged 3 they are for 30 minutes.

Steve is DBS checked and has Public Liability Insurance.

How many children can be there and what size can the venue be?

Steve can perform in venues from small rooms to big halls and outside, for a few children or up to a 120 children. (For parties for ages 8+ up to 15 children works well, as Steve likes to do more of a close-up show geared for that age. He can also do shows for more than 15 children age 8+.)

Steve will arrive 20 minutes beforehand to set up.

Do adults need to be present at a children’s show or can adults be there?

Some adults need to stay with the children (1 adult per 10 children), to supervise the children.

Any children under age 3 need to be with an adult.

If adults are staying at the party then they can either stay with the children, or go to another area where they can chat together (apart from adults staying with the children as above).

Are different shows possible?

Yes. Steve can do a number of different shows. So he can return for the child’s next birthday, or go to a party where some of the children will have seen him before.
